Sugar River State Trail Conditions

Conditions as of Monday, November 23, 2009:

The trail is open for walking and bicycling. We request that the trail not be used by bicyclists or pedestrians whenever the surface is soft enough to leave ruts and tracks.

For the most up to date conditions please call the Green County Trail Information Line, (608) 527-2910.

Snowmobiles

Snowmobiling is allowed when there is over four inches of snow, or when the trail has a groomed base. At all other times the trail is closed to snowmobiling.

Albany Wildlife Area

It is recommended that trail users wear blaze orange when traveling between Monticello and Albany through January 31, 2010. This trail section travels along the Albany Wildlife Area public hunting grounds.

Pets

Pet owners, please be sure to have your pet on a leash, 8 feet or shorter, at all times. You must pick up after your pet.
