Blue Mound State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Saturday, November 7, 2009:

The two 40-foot observation towers are open year-round.

Hunting

Deer hunting is allowed in the park by permit during these seasons:

  • Through November 20 (unlimited earn-a-buck archery)
  • November 21-29 (unlimited earn-a-buck gun and archery)
  • November 30-December 9 (unlimited earn-a-buck archery and muzzleloader)
  • December 10-13 (unlimited antlerless-only gun and archery)
  • December 14 - January 3 (unlimited earn-a-buck archery)

Camping

The campground is open year-round.

Reservations are highly recommended for May through October, especially for weekends, holidays, and electrical sites on any dates. Make your reservations or check site availability by calling (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275, or using the Web.

All vehicles entering the park must have state park admission stickers, which can be purchased in the office or in the self-registration box at the entrance to the park.
