High Cliff State Park ConditionsConditions as of Thursday, November 12, 2009
HuntingPlease Note: Portions of the park [PDF] will be open for gun deer hunting during the regular gun deer season (November 21 - 29, 2009) by special permit only. Permits are sold out for Zone 64A. Hunters are restricted to the use of muzzeloaders. The park will not be open to muzzleloader hunting during the statewide 10-day muzzleloader season (November 30 - December 9, 2009). High Cliff State Park Hunting Information Deer hunter are required to wear blaze orange during gun deer hunting seasons. Other park users are strongly encouraged to wear blaze orange or bright colored clothing during gun deer hunting seasons. CampingSites 53-112 in the family campground are available on a first-come, first-served basis through November. Starting December 1 through March 31, 2010 the road to the family campground will be closed. Primitive camping will be allowed in the group campground area. These sites are non-electric and the same occupancy rules and fees that apply to family campsites will apply to the group sites through March. Call the park for details. Only vault toilets are available in the campground and water can be obtained at the park office. When the park office is closed, campers must use the self-registration pay station near the park office to pay for camping and vehicle admission fees. Reservations are recommended for electric sites April through October and all weekend camping May through October. Dogs are allowed on all trails, but must be kept on a leash. Pet owners are responsible for removal and proper disposal of pet waste.
