Find DNR Managed Lands

September 2009 updates/changes:

  • added over 7,000 acres of public hunting ground leased in the Footville and Evansville area
  • added public boat access and shore fishing opportunities across the state
  • added parking lots on numerous DNR properties

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Managed Lands Mapping Application is a map-based system that allows you to locate and obtain information on State managed properties.

   This map provides a generic representation of the DNR Managed Lands showing properties that the WDNR has acquired in fee, easement, or lease.

The WDNR manages lands through ownership, easement, or lease rights. The map data should not be interpreted as representing legal property boundaries. State lands depicted are generally open to the public. Public use restrictions may apply due to public safety, or to protect endangered or threatened species or unique natural features. Lands may be temporarily closed due to specific management activities. Information about the actual property management can be found at the WDNR Regional office nearest the property.
