Green & Healthy School Recycling Bin Grant Program

Recycling Bin Details:

• 22-gallon green recycling bin
• Maximum per school: 50*
  * subject to availability

Eligibility and Grant Application:

1. Participation is open to all public and private elementary, middle and high schools across Wisconsin.
2. Schools must have already completed Steps 1 & 2 to be eligible for recycling bins. Sorry, but schools that have already completed the Green & Healthy Schools program are not eligible.
3. Submit the following:
• The recycling bin grant application form
• Step Two completion form
• A copy of the school’s completed Waste & Recycling Assessment

• Map of the school highlighting designated locations for requested recycling bins. (All bins must be located next to a trash can.)
• Completed Waste Disposition Chart, found on the last page of the Waste & Recycling Assessment, for each of the main areas of the school (i.e., classroom, office, cafeteria, staff lounge, etc.)
4. Mail completed applications to:

   Green and Healthy Schools Program

   PO Box 7921
   Madison, WI 53707-7921
5. Schools will be notified of awards within 30 days of submission.
