American Tree Sparrow

This winter sparrow has a rusty crown, and a black splotch or "stickpin" on its light, unstreaked breast. Sparrows are common winter residents of southern Wisconsin, rare in the north.

Tree sparrows like to eat millet or cracked corn at feeders.
