Remediation and Redevelopment Program

The Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) Program oversees the investigation and cleanup of environmental contamination and the redevelopment of contaminated properties. Our staff provide a comprehensive, streamlined program that consolidates state and federal cleanups into one program (e.g., hazardous waste cleanup, underground storage tank investigation & cleanup, spill response, state-funded cleanups and brownfields).

RR Program staff worked with the city of Middleton in south central Wisconsin to clean up and redevelop a number of dilapidated brownfields, located along University Avenue. One parcel (shown here) was redeveloped as the new Valencia Condominiums.
