What kind of fish are in the lake? The 2005 online edition of Wisconsin Lakes lists the relative abundance of muskellunge, northern pike, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, panfish, trout, catfish and sturgeon in selected Wisconsin lakes. Wisconsin Lakes also contains useful information such as lake size, depth and type, access, mercury information and lake map availability. Organized in a table format, the book contains information on all named lakes in Wisconsin and all unnamed lakes of more than 20 acres. The lakes are listed alphabetically by county. The entry for each lake includes the surface area, depth, type of public access and relative abundance of several game fish species. The relative abundance of each species is indicated by a code in which "A" means "abundant"; "C" signifies "common"; and "P" denotes "present." The book is available in a portable document file (pdf) format. The various sections of the book have been broken down into several files. Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, simply download the files which contain the counties you are interested in -- don't forget the introductory material. You can use the Acrobat Reader software to either print out the entire file or use the software to search for the lake you are interested in and print out that page only. Wisconsin Lakes Files:
